Oil leaking from pan after Vortech install

I was installing oil drain-back fitting. The instructions say to clean around where your going to put the hole. Well there's a leak now about 1" away from fitting in the middle of nowhere. A friend of mine tried to clean his pan and his leaked through pan too. Is there a fix for this like JB weld or something? A guy from work told me about some marine stuff he used on his pan. I would normally use this as an excuse to buy a canton or such, but I have 351 project that I will get a nice pan for. Should I just put in new stock pan ($59 from summit) or chrome stock ($69 from summit)?

I now one guy whose 5.0 pan just rotted out. Don't no if this is something that happens a lot or not. If you are putting a new motor in try the marine stuff. Make sure you drain oil and clean oil pan, sand to rough up area to fix. And then clean again so you get a good bond. Give patch time to cure before adding oil back in pan. I would watch for leaks then.
