![]() Ok i need help and thats what you guys do. i will be getting a 347 stroker next month and it will be pushing about 500 hp when is all done. I want to know what the strongest best trans to get for it. A race ready C-4, C-6 or AOD. I want to keep it a street car to for now but later i might supercharge it and keep it a race only car so what trans would be good for my setup and which one will still be good if i do supercharge it.
Thanks Alot |

![]() I'd stay away from the C6 as it is big and heavy and unneccessary as long as you get a built C4 or AOD. It all comes down to whether you need the overdrive or not. Also, race ready AOD's tend to be a little more expensive than C4's.

![]() Get the c4. You dont seem to be too concerned with daily driving if you are pushing 500. People put gobs of power in front of those c4s and if built right they handle it.

![]() check out www.performanceautomatic.com they have a trans that has a life time warranty, even if it wears out you just pay the freight and they will "freshen it up" for free.
they are a little pricey though, the one with the lifetime warranty comes with everything, including trans brake. btw: its the "super comp" a buddy of mine just ordered one, ended up costing him around $3000 with converter, bellhousing, flywheel, BASICALLY EVERYTHING |
