Default optima battery?

im in the market for a new battery but i dont know what to get. I have a 91 5.0 with slight mods. I want to get an optima because they dont leak. Everything else i have had leaks and it makes a mess.

Im not sure if i should go with the red top optima or the yellow? The red is the normal starting battery. THe yellow is a deep cycle.

Will i run into any disadvantages with the yellow? I dont have a massive stereo or anything that draws alot of power.

Thanks

Jeremy

For what you have I would go with the red. The red has the longest warranty and it should have pleanty of power for you. The advantage of the yellow is it can be drained down more and then recharged and it won't be hurt but if you don't have a lot of electronic crap there is no reason for it.
