Thumbs down Overheating Issues

Allright here's my problem, recently my stang has been running a little hot, but it only does it when I'm idling and when its 80 degrees or warmer, when I start driving it will go back down. I have a 180 degree thermostat that's new, water pump is 2 yrs old, and the radiator is in good condition. I never had a problem with my water temp. before. I have a Auto Meter gauge so I know that isn't my problem, also, my engine seems to miss a little once the coolant is overheated, could it be an electrical short or not?
