Question OXYGEN SENSOR

What kind of performance problems would you see if you have a bad o2 sensor? Is it possible to have a bad sensor and not log a fault code? Also any sugestions on a code 34?

Generally cars run richer and have poor gas mileage, and not running right when the sensors go bad.
