Since I'm painting my engine, would it be a good idea to paint the intake or would it be better to leave it it's natural aluminum color?

My block is is yellow and I thought of painting my intake black but I'm not sure if that would just draw extra heat and hurt performance.

If you use a good high temp paint you there should be no worries... as far as decrease in horse power.... I personaly don't think the colour of your manifold will make a difference.

Paint would work but I don't think it would hold up after a couple of years, what would hold up however is powdercoating. ~Brian
