Angry Parking Brake up the butt! HELP!!!

Last week I went out to open my car and it would not open. Not with the key alarm remote or by force! I got some pliers to pull the locking arm up and it broke. I pulled it to hard. So now I have to crawl in and out of my car thru the passengers side. Talk about painful!!! If my door is stuck shut in a lock mode how can I fix it? My guess is that the lock actuator went out but I should of been able to force it up. RIGHT??? Please help!

If the motor went bad for the door locks, it should still open up with the inside handle. If that doesn't work, there is something wrong with the metal rods inside the door. You can try to pull the door panel off with the door shut. GOOD LUCK. Never tried it before but since the seat is in the way, you have have a hard time. Hope this gives you some help/ideas.

Mine went out on the passenger side while the door was unlocked. I can't even push it down to lock it manually. It really suck but it seems the option is drilling out the rivits under the handle from the outside and buying some nuts and short bolts to bolt it back in. With the handle out of the way you will be able to see where the handle connects to the medal rod and manually push the rod down to open the door, then you can troubleshoot your lock actuator from there. Good luck.
