Post Power WIndow ?'s

The car I bought to build the drag car has power windows and locks. It is an 88 model. My little brothers car is a 93 and does not have power windows and locks. He wants the power stuff and I want to shed a few pounds and use the manual stuff. Can we swap out the stuff or is it more complicated than that?
Thanks,

It is really simple. Pull out your electrical wiring, drill out the rivets that hold your window mechanism in, and re-install the manual mechanism using new rivets. It really is THAT simple. Nothing to it. It should take you about an hour, if that.

Does the manual doors also have the electrical connections and wires or will I have to pull the wires through the door and then hook up the switches?
Thanks man.

the manual doors lack the window wiring. They do have the lock wiring, but it is a different harness than the one you have in power doors. I am assuming the manual doors still have power locks, correct? You will need to pull the wiring out of the door jamb (the rubber cover is part of its harness). The harness connects just above the kick panels. You will also need to swap door panels.

The manual doors are ALL manual, windows and locks. I guess I am gonna try it. I really dont want to mess with it but the little brother wants the power stuff and I dont. Will the door harness plug into his under dash harness? IF not what will I have to do to get it to work?

The necessary wiring is already in place in his car. It should be a case of "plug in and go". Good luck.
