Performer RPM II Question.

I was going to goto a Performer RPM and port it. The Victor EFI intake is just too much for a N/A 302. Will this new RPM II intake kinda be in between the RPM and the Victor?? If it is then ill be waiting to buy an intake untill the new one comes out.:D

I would say it is between the two. It flows a little more on the top end than the Performer RPM. The new issue of 5.0 has an article about it.

I read that article and am really considering getting that intake. It seems to be a well rounded intake. The only setback is they did away with the removeable plenum cover that they are famous for, sort of. It is there, but smaller and on the under side of the plenum. But man it looks nice. Almost looks identical to the systemax (or trick flow I cant remember) intakes.

To actually answer your question, they opened up the throttle opening and gave it a v shape between the throttle opening and the runners on the bottom side to even out the velocity of the incoming air. They also ported the lower intake runners to accomodate for the extra flow generated with the new design of the upper. The reason for the changes was to increase top end and try not to sacrifice any low end.
