Question Piston Numbers???

I can't find anyone to help me one the phone so I thought I would ask all U smart guys. I just picked up a 302 from a guy around the corner for 100 bucks. It is a complete motor with what he was a very recent rebuild. For a hundred bucks who could same no. Well apart it came just to find out what it had in it. HOLY **** !!! It was JUST rebuilt and it was a 289 with 302 heads. Completely balanced even!! Now my problem is the pistons, they have a very big dome (big cam too) and I don't want to run a huge compression ratio. HOW BIG IS IT???? They are TRW pistons with the # 7061P.030 . 30 over I know but they look real big and don't want to have to run race gas all the time. Thanx for any help!!

AL

Your new engine has 13:1 compression Speed-Pro Forged Aluminum Pistons.

When installed in a 302, the numbers are as follows:
Compress height: 1.600"
Dome height: .440"
Cyl. Head Vol: 53.5cc
Eff. Dome Vol: 10.4cc
Deck Clearance: .010"
Compress Gasket Thickness: .028"
Piston weight (w/o pin): 618 grams
Piston Pin Lock Ring: LR-194
Compression ratio @ .030" over: 13.00:1

Have fun buying gas!

Take care
