this might be a stupid question but i am putting the pistons back into my motor and i put one in turn the crank,, out the opposite piston in etc... is there a pattern in which the pistons should be (example: #1 up, #2down,#3 up) i thought there was but my friend said as long as they are torqued to the crank right its ok... and how much should i torgue the end cap bolts to
Thanks
Cait

Honestly, I don't think it matters as far as a pattern goes. I would put both pistons onto one arm of the crank before you torque them down (like #1 and #5) Also, if your rods are stock, my machine shop told me not to torque them down to more than 25 pounds. The stock rods have little tiny cap bolts that will stretch easy. Anyway, good luck with your engine, I still want to see pics of the pink engine!!!
