Please help if you have any idea...
Ok, try this one on for size. I just fired up my motor for the first time earlier today. It ran perfect all the way through the break in. No leaks, noises, etc... Then after shutting it down and disconnecting the spout to set the timing it went crazy. Upon starting it up now it idles ok until you let the clutch out. It then jumps up to 2500 rpm every time. If you push the clutch in then it idles back down. If you have the transmission in gear and let the clutch out it does NOT idle up crazy. Also, if you are driving the car it runs perfect and and idles down etc... as long as the tranny (stock T-5) is in gear. It has baffled me. I am just curious if anyone else has encountered something this crazy?
Thanks for any help!
