You've got to get the 351 balancer and flywheel. If you don't your engine will shake itself into pieces. I know for a fact that the 351 flywheel is half the weight of a 302 and the balancer is also. Every article that I've read about the 351 swap says the same thing.
I can't say it from experience but I trust the 5.0 mags! Especally if they all say the samething.
