Plug Gap with MSD
I have an MSD 6AL and Accel super coil. WHat the hell should my plugs be gapped at. I've seen anywhere from .040 to .070 on the windsor forum and can't get a straight answer from any of my redneck buddies.
Advice please. They are at .050 now. Thanks ------------------ 1969 fast back; yellow; weld wheels; 302 roller with GT-40 heads; 3:55 gears; 5spd T-5; MSD 6AL; E-303; flows; Hedman headers; Holley 600; |

.045 sounds good to me, but I'm sure there's lots of room for discussion here. BTW, I sent you a couple of e-mails but could never be sure they went out about the Granada spindles.

When I built my engine (see sig) I asked the guys at Coast High Perf. and they said with the MSD & SS Coil .045 should be good.

OK thanks for the advice guys. I think I will keep them at .050 for now and put them back to .045 when I replace them.

I just contacted MSD in reference to your 6A system and one of their techs said to run at .10 higher but no more than .15 or less than .05. Touch and Feel. It all depends on mods. With mine he said to run .10
