Post Poll: Weld Draglites or 5-spoke Cobra polished?

I have a bone-stock (not for long!) 89 GT, and am going to replace my wheels. If I go with the Weld wheels, I will keep my stock 15" tires. With the 5-spokes, I will go 17x9, but will obviously also have to buy new tires.(ouch!) I just bought the car, and the tires on it now are brand new. I just HAVE to get rid of the stock turbines. What does everyone think? (The car is black)

Cool

depnds on what your future plans are....

check the weights of each wheel brand and go from there, If plans are for drag racing, I would think about wider rims in the rear (for traction) and a bit narrower in the front (less rolling resistance)....

any rim looks better than stock, I have US mag 5 spokes, they look nice.... butI bought it that way....

If you plan on drag racing then your better off with the Welds. If you plan on Road racing
the cobra's would be better. The cobra wheels are real heavy but they look awesome.

Lightbulb

You will be puting out alot of money no matter which way you go, so why buy some heavy cast piece of s**t when for less $ you can get a lite weight rim like welds or center lines.
