If i were you i'd much rather have the smooth transition and flow of a matched intake/head. The only concerns over velocity would be if you had to tow something while retaining low gears or going for maximum fuel economy. It sounds like your engine would benefit from the increased power band of more flow because of the gears and other mods.
I would definately port match them if i were you, just my opinion though.
