If it were me, I would pollish everything. Just because aluminum is so easy to work. Don't get crazy on the intake side, just try to smooth any casting fash. Port/pollish about 1-1.5" in on the intake side. Use a 1250 intake gasket. I think these heads are a 1250 already, so you shouldn't have to do much work. The 1262's are bigger, but you need to keep port velocity up and the 1250's do this very well. Exhaust use a 1415 felpro. You can pollish the exhaust ports to a mirror if you want, but its up to you.

Head gaskets... I like the 8742 pt2 for N/A and power adders. For serious power adders I like the 9333 pt1 . Both are Fel-pro gaskets.

After you port/pollish everything, I suggest that you use an intake gasket sealer for the lower intake . I like " Permatex high tack " gasket sealer. Use black silicone to seal the ends of the intake with. Put some around the water ports too . You should be ok.
