IMHO, the value of the limited slip diff is not the ability to squirrel around in the snow or getting out of mud puddles. Most V-8 Mustangs need all the traction they can get when flogging it off the line on dry pavement.. Limited slip diffs really only lock up about 50% anyway.

Why I need one is to get the least amount of wheel spin at the launch on street radials that I can get. Even with the limited slip diff, I still have traction problems on the street at WOT launch. At the track with all that rubber on the pavement and VHT, I hook really well, even on the street radials.

You're only fooling yourself if you don't think it will "fishtail" on wet/slick road with Traction Lok.

If that response is to me, I know very well how the "posi" behaves on slick surfaces. I will put up with that any day to get some improvement in dry pavement, off the line performance. Limited slip diffs are a definite upgrade for performance oriented cars IMHO.

I agree it is definatly an improvement with "off the line performance". Just a little hairy on slick surfaces. But, it's controlable.
