Default possible to drop in a motor with longtubes already installed?

I am dropping in my motor tomorrow and was wondering if i should install my longtubes before i drop it in or after it is in? I will be taking the tranny off to have more room? Thanks for the help in advance!

You will need to pull the steering column (maybe) to slide the shaft thru the headers.
The headers will be in the car,as you lower the motor onto them.
Keep the headers loosely bolted, while you put in the tranny bellhousing (spread the headers wide).

Default headers

I have done it with shorties but never longtubes .I would have to say no ,you will probally have a easier time laying or tying them over to the side until you get the engine lowered in.Good luck!!
