Stockers, look for either E7's, or GT40P's. GT40P's are on V8 Explorers, they're cast with a "GT40P" right on the head next to #1 (and #8) spark plug.

E7's are on any ford 5.0 built from 1987 through 93 I THINK. Don't quote me on the 93 part.

Aftermarket, I'm a BIG CANFIELD fan!!! Canfields are first on my list, then AFR, Trickflow, etc etc. I even had a set of iron Windsor Sr. heads that made awesome power.

'84 heads really aren't that good. You'll definitely benefit if you find a set of GT40's. You prolly won't notice much on the street, but if you take the car to the track, you'll add a couple MPH, and maybe a tenth or two off the time.

So how well do GT40 P exlplorer heads flow over stock E7's? I'm asking for the people reading, I'm curious if the GT40 P flows same as the 93 GT40 head? What about 351 heads on 5.0? What would be the best year stock heads for 351?

eddie has a good question i was told that the"p"s were better than regular 40s and that the only problems were with the headers. if anyone knows where i can get "p" specific headers please let me know cause my gt40ps will done being machined by tuesday. my father helps build engines for hamner racing engines in alabam and we are really porting the crap out of these heads and expect to see great results
