AOD 1-2 shift
Just had the TV pressure set on 87 AOD with 10" converter and shift kit. Checked fluid as well. All look ok. Have been running a 351W in front of the otherwise stock AOD for about 6 months. Now 1-2 shift went soft. Changed pressure slightly up and down with no better shift. Possible tranny wear? Need rebuild? Been thinking of a C4, manual shift with 10 inch coverter and just chucking the AOD, any thoughts?
Thanks,,, |

Shifting it manually will result in excessive direct-clutch wear, as well as excessive overdrive band wear. If you've been shifting it manually, this could be your problem.
