![]() I have a 69 Mach 1 that had power steering but was converted to manual by the previous owner. I'd like to convert it back to power, I have the pump and brackets, and I can buy the hoses but I need the center-link, ram, ram bracket, valve...and other parts for the steering system it self. A friend gave me the power steering system from a 74 Maverick that looks to be in good shape. My question is, will any of the parts fit my Mustang or be made to fit?
Thanks for the help!! |

![]() Art, when you say made to fit the old saying is true"where there is a will there is a way" as far as using the parts from that Maverick it does'nt look to good. The slave cylinder from a 70-72 Maverick will work and the control valve from a 76-77 will fit. Now this is just information about direct fit from one to another and I wish I could tell you more about some of the other parts but I'm not familiar with the Maverick's. I have a 69 Sportsroof and have the original power steering so if there is anything else I can do let me know.
