GT40 Intakes

I own a 1990 mustang GT..and i ran into a problem..i let someone take my stock upper and lower intake to port and polish and when they were returned they were ruined..now my question is that i have heard that the ford explorer has the gt40 intakes on them..If so, will the upper and lower intake off the explorer fit right up to all parts on my mustang gt. What years explorer has the intakes i am looking for? Thanks for all info.

yes, they will fit, same motor as in explorer except for the p-heads, oil pan, timing cover, etc... Any late model explorer with a 5.0. But you can find them new pretty cheap

Actually there is something that you have to delete/bypass.
Temp sending unit maybe.....?
my buddy had it, not a biggie, but you you do have to make a change.
He had it on a '93 notch
