Timing chain cover help - new cam.

I'm putting the 2031 in - I have a question on re-installing the timing chain cover - is there some kind of trick to getting the cover back on without my oil pan gaskets sliding off or not lining up when I push it over that key on the bottom right hand bolt of the cover?
I'm done for the night, but I don't want to get stuck tomorrow - I wanna drive!

I used sealant on the gasket to the oil pan, and let it set up. Then installed the timing cover (again using sealant). I haven't had any oil leaks.
