Full Length Headers
I'm switching to full length headers and was wondering what brand to get. Of course I'm looking for which one installs the easiest. I want 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 to 3" collectors. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Do the BBK's fit auto trans?

I looking for the 1 3/4 I have also heard the BBK fit pretty good. Can I install these from the bottom or do I have to go from the top. Does any one else have an opinion. I know a lot of you guys run full length, what kind do you run and how hard was the install? Thanks again!

Install took me 1/3 more than a typical set of shories.
They do fit with an auto from what i know... even fit around a lakewood housing with only minor grinding on the housing for 1/4 worht of clearence. I have BBK and they fit nice. I didn't have the heads on my car when I installed them so it was real easy for me.
Also why are you getting 1 3/4? I hope they are not for the car in your sig if so they are a little to big unless you have more done then you have listed. ------------------ '93 LX 425rwhp/410rwtq |
I have 1 5/8" BBK's in with a small bell c4 and they fit with lots of room. The headers went it like cake for me but I had the tranny out at the time and I put them in from the bottom.

I have MAC long tubes and they were a pain to install, but I think any long tube would be a pain unless they were a two piece design. I have heard BBK's are easy to install though. I just can't see how they would be much easier because there isn't much room down there for long tubes no matter what brand you get. I could be wrong though. I've heard both good and bad things about BBK and MAC. If I had to do it again I would just go with some Hooker headers.

I just put the 1 5/8 BBK LT's on mine. They fit really well, and clear everything. I also had the tranny out, so install was a snap putting them in from the bottom.
