Poor performance-My brainbox?

I have a '95 GT. I know there was some engineering done between the fox and sn95 models with the computer, resulting in poor performance. What is the best solution for this issue? A custom chip? FRPP Extender? Please let me know, I'm sick of feeling the drop off in power and hesitation on every shift.

You might want to look into getting a whole new computer, such as one from an 89 5.0 or the new Saleen one that just came out.

The Saleen one is for modular motors, not 5.0's. A Computer from an earlier Stang can work in a '95, but you'll have to find a way to control the electric fan, etc.

Depends on what you want to do to your car. If you are keeping it stock, the extender seems ok. But all it does is adjust air/fuel at WOT, supposedly gets rid of the ignition retard at shifts, and upps the rev limiter. If you are doing heads, intake, cam, 347 kit, look at the Ford EPEC, eec tuner, or Anderson PMS. I would NOT recommend swapping in an earlier computer. I did it with a Pro-M PIH and it didn't solve a damn thing for me. Now I'm trying to do some research in the EPEC, eec-tuner, and PMS systems. Actually, it's between the EPEC and PMS. Between the cost of the PIH kit, MAF, and computer, I coulda had the EPEC.
