AFM powerpipe/ does it work?
I am thinking of purchasing an AFM powerpipe for my 6lb Paxton. I want to know if the pipe actually increases boost output. If you have one how much of an increase did you see. Thanks

I helped a friend install one on his 1998 cobra with an S trim Vortech. It gained 2 to 2.5 PSI of boost with the Anderson Power pipe.

I added mine roughly two years ago, when I had a Powerdyne. I really didn't see a boost increase, but boost did come on faster.
Unless you are planning on upping the boost, it may not be worth the investment right now... ------------------ 1986 Mustang LX LenTech'ed & Vortech'ed http://88gt.5liter.com/friends/rlun Video link: http://64.177.149.228/barney10.mpg [This message has been edited by rel3rd (edited 03-18-2001).] |
I've got a Anderson Powerpipe but haven't installed it yet,got it last fall if I remember right..
I'm planning on raising the boost level on my Paxton GSS blower as well.I was curious as if the powerpipe would let me accomplish this OR if not,I'll change the pulley. All I want is 8lbs of boost, and one way or another,I will get it http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif ------------------ Paxton Blown 87GT |
