I want to put the tall Ford Motorsport valve covers on my stang and was wondering if they will fit with a 3/8" spacer or 1"? I already have a cowl hood so that won't be a factor.

I know with a Gt40.. you need a One inch spacer.. to clear those tall covers

Thanks, i'll just use a one inch space to be safe.

Yep 1 inch for sure.

I have the Edelbrock RPM intake I got away with using the 3/8" spacer. Worked pretty good.

you do realize that you will lose about 200 usable RPM's with that spacer, not good.

Dont use the 1 inch spacer with a stock intake it will hurt your performance. I had the same question a while ago because i bought the motorsport valve covers and i was going to go with a 1 inch but everyone here on this board told me to go with the 3/8 one so i did.
