Need help with rear end set up!
I have a 84 mustang with southside lower control arms and double adjustable uppers. Also have 28x10.5x15 ET drags. I was setting my pinion angle and it is at -3 degrees, but there is only about 1/4" clearance between the tire and the front of the wheel well. It looks like the tires would rub doing a burnout when the tires expand. Anybody else have this set up? If so I could use some ideas. Thanks

Sounds like you need adjustable lowers. The adjustment on them is used to center the wheel in the wheelwell. Whereas the double-adjustable uppers (which you already have) are used to set the pinion angle.

The mounting plate on the Southside lowers has a 1/4 inch or so pin that is not allowing rotation of the axle housing. Grind it off. This will allow rotation and rearward movement of the tire in the opening...but it may not "center". Line it all up and weld it into place. Been there.
