i need head!!!!!!
So this spring im planning on purchasing new heads, and ive looked into Ford Motorsports, Edelbrock, and Trick Flow. i am completly lost on what i need. iron or aluminum? 1.90 or 2.02 valves? i know trick flow has a new head that has 2.02 valves that dont require notched pistons, but those sound a little too big for my car. so what size and kind and iron or alum would you recomend to my car?????? who has the best results for hp.
also im using the car for weekend driving mostly, not strictly race. so what would be my best bet? |
I was once lost, here is how i was found.
Make a list of what you want ultimately, then figure out how to get there. |
I need head!!!
Don't we all.

the edelbrock performer heads with the 1.90 size intake valve (part number 6037) would be good for you. You have the edelbrock intake already, so maybe they will line up better than a different brand head?
it uses the factory style pedestal mount rockers, and stock push rods can be re-used. for a great street head out of the box, its hard to beat. Its a high quality head that is easy to bolt on and doesnt require any special tuning or differnet parts, and its a proven performer. Ok, now Im going to bed to get some head myself.... |
for street use do you think i should stick withe the 1.90 valve, and should i go with alum. or iron. it seems to me that if im doing street only then it would be more conservitave to stick with iron, then again its not too conservative to be 20 with a mustang like mine......so what do you think?

Well if you get any............how about hookin a brother up?

go with aluminum. edelbrock aluminum heads are considered conservative . aluminum heads are not exotic anymore, but are commonplace, and they will take 50 lbs. off your front end.
