CLATTERING noise from valvetrain

I just installed my E303, ported stock heads with crane springs & cut valves, and TF street intake. Now i have a tick or it kinda sounds like a tick-combination-roaring noise, coming from both sides of the motor. Has good oil press. I let it run for a hour to let lifters pump up but the noise is still there.
Every thing looked good when I assembled it (lifters, pushrods, rockers). Everything is torqued to spec, I can see oil flowing in valve cover. I was thinking maybe it was the valves closing with the higher spring pressure? Is there a special procedure for setting lash? Are stock rockers OK? It seems to disipate at higher R's . Or maybe I can't hear it over the exhaust. Seems to run excellent, but i haven't driven it yet (not registered).
Any ideas would be great Thanx Nick

valve noise

About the noise I had the same trouble with my car I had to shim my rocker arms with each valve at top dead center. Crane makes the shim kit for about 10.00 dollors. Good luck.
