TB size

If the intakes and the TBs' are stock - not aftermarket - the TB should be 60mm on both the '88 and '93 throttle-body and interchangable.

If you see a noticable difference between the two TB's, the larger one may be a 65mm aftermarket unit.

i am not totally positive on this but there could be a slight difference between the two throttle bodies because the 88yr was speed density, and in 89-93 they went to the mass air system, but they still are interchangable.

the stock TB's on the SD and mass air fox body cars are identical.

If it's that noticable of a difference maybe it's a 65mm. Did the engine come out of a Cobra? If so it would have a 65mm on it if I'm not mistaken. Or maybe someone just slapped a 65mm on there. Anyway, see if you can get a measurement of the bore and find out.
