Mark VIII fan
 

Just bought a Mark VIII fan and my buddy at Ramchargers said it draws too much amps and it's no good even with a 3G alt. If you have one, what alt. do you run and have you had any problems? How did you wire it in?

The guy at Ramchargers says that most people he knows have had the thermo switch screwup on them, so they wired it directly, so it turns on when motor is on and off when motor is off. Now I don't know about this whole deal, I mean these motors have enough problems starting when they're hot as it is (modified ones that is).

i run a sn95 fan in my fox and i have a 3g swap and it works fine..the mark 8, sn95, tourus 6cly all use the same fan motors just diffrent housuings and all of them kickasss..juts get a 3g and you will be fine

Thanks, I somehow knew that guy was full of crap. He steered me in the wrong direction before and this was the last straw.

hey some poeple are morons see somehting online then insist its true even if they never did it b4..i mean you dont get any bigger than a 130amp alternator for an OEM ford part..listen to people who have done:D
