AAAGH! Overheating, weird smell, various oddities, please help!

My 91 GT will not run cool! The radiator, water pump and all hoses are new. There are no visible leaks anywhere. In 80-degree weather with 15% humidity the car runs at 195-degrees. With the air on it runs at 220 and climbing!! Then there is that smell. It is definitely a noxious smell of antifreeze only after 180-degrees. I bypassed the heater core thinking it was this, no dice. Another funnny thing...it runs hotter in certain areas of the city than others. I feel like I am losing about a cup of coolant every 3000 miles, but I may be wrong. It did this last year, but only in 110-degree weather. I hate to think about that kinda heat in it's current state. BTW, there are no air bubbles in the radiator when the thermostat opens. Someone told me the car could be running rich because of the off-road H(????). Any ideas?

I can rant off some possibilities for you if it helps...

-- wrong rotation pump
-- clogged radiator and/or water jackets
-- fan clutch is inoperative
-- thermostat isn't opening far enough or is in bass ackwards
-- inoperative radiator cap

That's all I can think of right now. Hope this helps. Good luck! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif
