Vortech Atrim or more boltons?

Hi. I just needed some help deciding what to do next and finally on the cobra. I have narrowed down my choices to one of these:

1. Vortech A-Trim Blower

2. 3.73 gears, cam, dynotune/chip

Which choice do you think will yeild better results? Which choice will be less of a headache in the longrun?

For what it's worth, with the mods in my sig, I'm running mid to high 13's. I'd like to be mid-high 12's keeping the car as streetable as possible. Thanks all!

I would go with all of the above.

Seriously I like the idea of staying all motor......you may be able to get in the 12's with gears and a good 60ft.

my guess is you would probably yield more horsepower with the A-trim. however i too like the "all motor" idea. check out my sig. im not sure what times it will run but i do know (compared to my others) that its very strong. and the best thing is the whole thing probably cost minimal (thanks to the classifieds).

just an opinion, take care.

You will make more power with the A-trim. I did heads and cam before my supercharger and it was nice but just didn't compare to adding the boost. Of course I don't have a Cobra but I know someone who does. He added a 6lb Powerdyne to his mild 95 Cobra set-up of 75mm maf, shorty headers, x-pipe w/cats, cat-back, gears, and custom chip. I have his dyno sheet here and he made 361.3rwhp/362rwtq SAE corrected. Ran a 12.9@110. I don't see you making those power numbers with a cam dyno tune/chip.

Regardless of what you do, the dyno tune/chip is an awesome idea for your car. It will really wake up your Cobra, naturally aspirated or supercharged.

Just curious though, do you know a way of fitting an A-trim to a 94-95 GT/Cobra? I would have gone A-trim or Novi 1000 in a heartbeat if I could have fit one to my car. As it is, I went with one of the two entry level blowers that is out there for our cars.
Anyway, Good Luck.

You already have a very good foundation for a blower. The worst part of your car is the computer. You will need a custom chip/dynotune regardless of the route you take. Gears are always nice.
