Aeromotive fuel pumps???????????
Hi, I was wondering if any of you carb. people have used the new Aeromotive 1000 pump? Right now I have the Mallory 250, but its a peice of $h!T if you know what i mean.
1.Where do you people mount this pump on the car? (my tank has a sump in it) 2. What size return line should I use? 3.how low to the bottom of the sump do I have 2 mount the pump? Thanks Guys/Gals |
I dont know about the fuel pump but that 750 seems like too much carb. for a 306.........:D Hard to argue with an 11.80 though.

Ya, the 750 is toooooo much on the street, but on the track it helps me shift at 7200. Im going to invest in a custom built carb after i get all the new fuel components i need. Im lookin at a 650 that will flow like 750-800cfm when needed.
Thanks ;) |
I'm a EFI guy but I run the Aermotive system. You should try to get the pump as close to the sump as you can. It also has to be mounted under the sump so it can be gravity fed. Pumps don't like to suck they like to push. I'm not sure about the return line on a carbed regulater. On my EFI I run a -6

WADS56....where is your pump mounted? Do you have a sump in your tank? You know mustang tanks are kinda low, the problem I have with the Mallory pump and filter now is that it is tooooo low 2 the ground. There is also like know where 2 mount these pumps on the back of a Mustang. This is just beating my brains in to the point i just wanna sell the car!!!
Thanks 4 the help!!! ;) |
