How much to buy paint?

I need to buy some paint to shoot my cobra grill insert, mirrors, and a few other small parts. How much does factory color paint cost? I probably won't need much, but I would like it to have the clear coat mixed in. Do they make it that way? I was thinking a quart or so would be enough.

Well the factory paint is base coat/clear coat two seperate processes.

1qt of paint when reduced will make 2 qts which will be way enough to base the grill insert, mirrors and other small parts you want to do.

A qt of paint will cost around $60-$70 depending on which brand, I paid $62 qt for my 2002 Honda color PPG brand, but I get my buddies discount, not quite sure how much a qt of clear and harder will run you but I think around $70 min, plus you will need some reducer for the paint (1:1 mix on the PPG, so 1 qt paint to 1qt of reducer) A gravity feed gun will work a lot better then a older siphon feed.

Don't forget grease and way remover;) Soak the mirrors and other parts if you have ever armor oiled them

Don't know if you want to go this route, but I went to a local paint supplier who deals with amny of the local body shops and had them mix me up a batch and put it into spray cans. I just needed it to touch up uynder my hood. I had to buy a quart so they gave me three spray cans. I don't think their was any clear coat or sealer or anything in there, and i know it's not the same quality as using an air sprayer, but it matched great and it was only like $35 if I remember right and my paint (red) is pretty expensive. Anyway it's an option.
