LOW COOLANT light keeps coming on

The low coolant light in my 95 gt keeps coming on. I check the coolant and its at the hot mark everytime. One time it wasnt and was low but i filled it and the darn light keeps coming on. Do i have to reset the light after i fill the container?

im not sure if they are the same for 95's but in the coolant overflow can is the sensor. if the the 2 contacts get all corroded they will not make contact with each other. so pull the sensor and use sandpaper to clean the contacts off. that should solve your problem (hopefully) if you have the same setup.

take care,
adam

you are correct

avbcon12 ,you are correct .. I have in past shot it with castrol super clean ,and it seems to be okay for about a year . sand paper is cool ,but don't be to crazy with it .. it has a corrosion on
it. and a cleaner like super clean will remove it with no problem.. when you have a stang like mine ,that may sit for a while ,you don't want to be sanding on it for 12 yrs.
