AOD problems
 

Well my friend has an 88 GT vert 5.0 AOD totally stock. Today she told me that it will not shift out of first. She says that she took it to a garage and they said the fluid was overfilled so they drained it but it still wont shift. Is her tranny gone? I hope not because she doent have the money for a new one but anyways anyone know if it could be anything else?

Sorry to say, but I'd have to guess that its toast. another AOD bites the dust :(

Thats an odd one, wont shift out of first? Tell her to check the TV cable. make sure its adjusted and connected properly, although it would shift out of first even if it wasnt. Sounds like internal valve body problems. It should shift. tell her to replace the valve body.
