Really stupid oil question
 

Yello-

I'm at the shop doing my first oil change on my 88 5.0 LX, and I forgot my owners manual on my workbench at home. How many quarts of oil do I refill with...???

All I have to say is: :rolleyes:

Oil change
 

5 quarts - with a new filter.

Thanks. Once again, I say :rolleyes:

Now I went out and figured I would just add until it registered on the dipstick. I pulled the dipstick out, and it broke off of the retainer bracket by the handle.

Should I be concerned right now until I replace the dipstick? would it be loose below? I looked, but it seemed OK...
