Cant find Code #
checked to see what codes the ecc had being that power was not up to normal and it ahs a rough idle. the computer threw a #36 Maf signal low. Could find either of these in the chiltons or haynes manual. Does this mean the MAF is screwed ?

Are you sure it's not code 66? 66 in KOER and Continuous memroy is MAF circuit below minimum voltage.
You may check the VPWR (position A on the meter connector) to see if you have 10.5 volts or greater. |
No, it was #36 on the screen

Then something was wrong. There has never been, for any Ford vehicle, an engine trouble code #36. The only trouble code #36 that Ford has ever used, thus far, is in the Integrated Vehicle Speed Control (IVSC) system (aka: Cruise Control), and in the Antilock Brake System (ABS). Mustangs supposedly did not have the option for pulling codes for either of these systems.
Take care, -Chris |
Ok ill just get the maf tested. Regardless of the # it said it had a low signal. Thanks guys
