Stock 351 powered Lightning Dyno Numbers???

Has anyone out there seen any dyno numbers for a stock 351 powered Lightning?

They're rated at 240 hp at the flywheel (I guess), but after driving my '94 and my father-in-law's "more powerful" 260 hp 5.4L P.U., I'm wondering if these '94 ratings were underrated. My seat of the pants dyno tells me that the Lightning is more powerful than the new SOHC 5.4's. The Lightning is definitely is a better performing truck. Gearing? Weight advantage?

Thanks for any discussion.

I would say the Lightning is underrated.
But not by much. I dynoed my 1993 when it was stock and turned 196hp and 257 lbs torque at Danielson Ford in CT. Now figure you lose alot of power through our big E40d. But with the gearing (4:10's) the trucks can get up and go.
Since then I have chose a combination that really boosted my HP figures and dropped over 1.5 secs off my stock time, and thats without a power adder.
Last time I dynoed in 2001, I made 280 hp and 350 lbs of torque..now I know the truck is making over 300 rwhp.
I can thank JDM engineering for that.
