Piston Notching

Anyone know any places in Southern California(San Diego,North County area) that does piston notching? I have a set of TFS Twisted Wedge heads with a Stage 1 port milled .030 with a custom cam with lift ranges in the .550/.560 range,if anyone knows of a machine shop or good mechanic that knows how to do it with the pistons still in the block give an address or phone number.

Thanks and advice and input is always appreciated.

Have you tried talking to Nick over at Manning Motorsports? 752-9516. If you don't want to go that route, you can rent a tool that allows you to flycut the pistons without dissassembling the motor. If you have it done with the motor still assembled, then you'll just be paying someone to use that same tool that I just mentioned.

Price Range

How much does he charge? Matter of fact what does he charge for a cam and head change anyway?

thanks for the feedback,I might have to make a trip out there to see Nick. We have spoke on motors and what not but never got to technical. Thanks again.

Who makes this tool? I would be very interested in purchasing one of these if they arent too pricey. Every machine shop in our area wants the pistons removed and that just adds time and labor (not to mention a week at the machine shop) for me. Thanks!
