speed density tune

Subject of great interest to many speed density people.
Is there a good publication anywhere, on tuning speed density?
I have no particular problem, but only because I haven't run into it yet...
I'm aware from the factory manual how to set it all up for a factory tune...but from there?
I've messed with fuel pressure and a little timing advance, but find the 'book settings' run the best. If I change anything in the intake, exhaust, or head dept. would shure like a referance on what they 'used to do' to compensate. (before mass-air)
Gotta be something out there still.

I have had an E-cam, a B-cam, and a 1087 wolverine. Stock injectors, 24's. stock heads, ported stockers, and performer rpms. Stock fuel pressure was always best, the 24's never worked. tps at .99,timing from 14- 24 degrees. I don't know what I can do that don't work. Also I bought an engine Sunday.:) 2 1/2 years with out my car is all over. Yahoooo
