running rich?
 
I adjusted my tps,now my car is like it's running rich,i've got a lot of black smoke coming out of the pipes.I have my fuel press. set at 42 psi.What is up?

You could try lowering it to 38 psi. Stock is 38-42. As for the black smoke that doesn't sound so good. No ideas here so I'll just let someone else answer that one.

What did you do to adjust your TPS? Your adjustment calibrates the actual throttle position with the TPS, which, in turn, sends the computer the proper voltage for a fully closed thrortlle. Yoy need to check the adjustment. This is done by measuring between the darkgreen/light green wire and the black/white wire on the sensor. The voltage must be between .8 and 1.0 volts. If the voltage is out of spec, adjust it by loosening the TPS sensors mounting screws and rotate the switch slightly. If you can't rotate it enough to get a good reading , elongate the bolt holes.
