Which shifter to buy?
Pro 5.0, Triax, or B&M Ripper? Bent the crap outta my stocker (Tremec TKO) going for 3rd gear at the strip last weekend. Need a new one, so I figured I'd get some advice. Thanks!

I went with the Tri-Ax. I love it, if I were you, I would either go with the Pro-5.0 or Tri-Ax. Either one is a quality built shifter that provides excellent shifts.

I'm on my 2nd Pro 5.0. One for my T5 and one for my3550.
I was going to try a Triax just for the fun of it. But then I ordered some other parts from Steeda and had a very bad experience with them and a lot of run around. Now I'll never have anything else from Steeda in my car unless it's free. I know the B&M has different spring strengths for adjusting the return to neutral force. I wish I could stiffen up the springs in my Pro 5.0 a little bit. Make the 2-3 power shift go a little better I think. |
Do a search on this...
I started a thread a month ago about this same topic and got some good responses, although in my case it was for a T-5. "Which shifter does everyone prefer" is what is was called, on 8/5. Welcome to Mustang Works, Keith

Also, another shifter you might want to consider is the Hurst...It's the one I ordered, and if that isn't reason enought to buy it, I don't know what is! :)

STEEDA TRI-AX. I love mine. Steeda has been great help for me.

I'm with DoranW. I've had my Hurst shifter for about 10 years and it has been great. It's taken a beating in the early years. My car has been driven every day to work as well as for cruzing, traveling etc.....
