World Windsor SR.
Hey guys anyone knwo if these heads are good race heads?
I heard they were good heads but they really are good race heads when ported and worked over? ANyone know or have a combo. Im looking to shift around 7K maybe a little higher. I am using a victor intake and plan to get a blower at some time. I reallyt need a cam idea as well thanks. Kinda want somewhere near 450 RWHP without blower 200 cc runners with 2.02 valves and 1.60 SUpposedly i can use 2.05 as well. Thanks FOr all teh help |
I have the same set of heads and i got them because i heard good things about them. They changed the name of them to Roush 200's but i think its the same head. Mine are still in the box so you'll probably know before me how they work.
Mine are going on a 351 stroker (372) long rod motor, N/A. At this time i have no intention of doing anything other than polishing the combustion chambers and the exhust ports. That could change later though. You'll probably finish before me, so post and let me know how they work for you, that way you're doing all the R&D and I won't have to make a bunch of dumb mistakes :D As for the cam I'd call comp or whoever and tell em what you got and what you need it to do, they are usually good about working out a good combo for you. |
I tried a set on my 351w on the dyno. I started with 70 351 castings, ported exaust, with a torquer 2, they made 400hp@5900, 400ftlbs@4800. Put the worlds and a victor jr on, 430hp@6000,410lbs@5000. The RPM cut off was 6000, the power was still going up, it was not with the stockers. The compression ratio also droped from 10.6 to 9.5 going to the world heads. I was very happy with the results, picking up 30hp, when dropping a full point of compression. Still haven't run them on the track yet though.
