traction problems.....please help
I ran my 90lx for the first time tonite. I was hoping for high 12's or low thirteens but i only ran 13.70 @101. I spun terrible. I have a c-4 tranny with a 3500 stall and 373 gears and 10 inch hoosier quick time street slicks on it. I hook much better on the street then i did at the track. Makes no sense to me. The first time i got the tires nice and hot and i spun terrible the second i just spun them enough to make sure i got the water off and spun a lil worse. I have lakewood shocks and springs, aftermarket lower rear control arms, sub frame connectors, strut tower brace... I expected more out of this car. Anybody else running a C-4 with a high stall convertor on here? What do you guys think it should run with this list... Also what should i be shifting at??

SSM lift bars will help that auto car. To me the 101mph is an indication that the motor is slacking. It seems to me that with the motor you have you should run more mph. What is your 60ft time.

I have the lift bars i was just calling them rear control arms for some reason. Probably cause it was 1:30 a.m. My 60 foots were 2.13 which is a typical sixty foot for a 15.0 car. I figure if i hook i should be in the 1.70's in the sixty with that 3500 stall convertor. i was shifting at 6200. Im not really sure where the power band is in that car so im sure where i should be shifting it with the 373's.

How much pressure were you running in those Hoosiers? ...were you rolling out of the water box at about 3/4 to full throttle until the tires grabbed the track surface and chirped? Sounds like you need to run around 10 psi, or start letting air out 1lb. at a time for each pass until you find some hook off the line while still maintaining some top end stability... just be sure to make one change at a time in order to keep track of what does/doesn't work.
