Get the double thick gaskets also, they add another 3/8 clearance, with 1.7's it will be close.

all you have to do is gring the casting posts off of the vavle covers. You do not need to grind the ones with the bolt holes just make everything flush inside exept the were the bolt holes are.

coupe ....i have crane 1.7s on mine ......with a stock cam i didn't have to do anything but remove the baffle

when you remove the baffle though ,you have to do somthing to keep the oil from splashing up to the vac line attached to the filler neck.........i've heard it said that it'll suck oil in the intake some

i just moddified the origanal baffle (bfh and drill),put it back on ...
no other modifacations were needed

all i did was remove the baffle and it worked great for me. i also have a crane 2031 and i still do not have problems

when i put my crane 1.7's on i put tall motorsports covers on and they hit the bottom of the intake manifold so i put on a 1 inch spacer and it is still close but its good.

:( Wish i read this before i did the job, well no oil being consumed so far, so i'll keep an eye out, i just removed the baffle, no problems, but as you can see from my other post, im happy with them, hopefully i'll just save for some taller covers, and swap the intake for something better.
