Mass airflow meter # Questions?

 Hello mustang works , Its been a while but I'm back with a question. I recently traded an 86 - 93 C&L 73mm mass airflow meter housing for use with 19Lb injectors for a Vortech That fits my '95 GT 5.0 ( it has a 4 bolt flange.) for use with 24Lb. injectors. It has the black plug in thing( meter) on top and I called the local ford dealer to verify that this Black meter is truly for 24 lb. and of course they were of little help. The number is : F2VF-12B579-A2A
AFH70-04 and stamped below these numbers is: 4K07. The question is is this meter for 24 Lb injectors as I was told before the trade ir did I get the shaft? It was supposed to be from a '94 Cobra. Thanks for any help, Tommy:D

Ford air meters are not calibrated for a certain size injector. For example, 1993 Mustang Cobra (24 # injector), 1991 T-Bird Super Coupe (30 # injector), 1992 T-Bird 3.8L (19 # injector) all use the same air meter. Injector size is programed into the calibration contained in the powertrain control module or PCM. The air meter's transfer function is also in the calibration. Aftermarket meters "adjust" the voltage sent to the PCM to trick it to work with a certain size injector.
